NXT launches Docs to help companies meet the new Machinery Regulation

With NXT Docs, machinery manufacturers can create, update and provide digital instructions – with support for several languages and clear version control.

An instruction manual needs to do more than exist. It must reach the right person, in the right language and in a version they can trust. NXT Docs helps companies make their instructions available where they are needed, for example through a QR code on the machine.

The new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 allows digital instructions under specific conditions. These include requirements for access, downloading and printing, and how long the instructions remain available. Paper is still required in certain situations.

With Docs, you can work on documentation based on your own material and keep updates and language versions connected. NXT Lexicon can help maintain consistent terminology across languages. This supports both the people responsible for documentation and those using the machine.

Docs supports documentation work – it does not guarantee that a machine meets every requirement. The manufacturer remains responsible for ensuring that the documentation and machine comply with the applicable rules.
